Welcome to Metro Animals!
Your Dog is about to have a Ton of Fun!

Click on the panels below for step-by-step instructions.
Step 1: Meet the requirements. Click for details.
Metro Animals encourages group play and free-roaming fun. We accept well-socialized, mild-tempered, non-aggressive dogs for daycare. He/she must not exhibit toy possessiveness or any aggression toward other dogs.  If your dog likes to play with other dogs and gets along well with everybody, we will welcome them as part of the group.
We require our dogs to be fixed by the time they reach approximately 6 months of age for peace of mind and to reduce aggressiveness and territorial behaviors.  No exceptions will be made.
All canine guests at Metro Animals must have an adequate titer level, or be current on their yearly vaccinations, including rabies, DHLP- CPV, Bordetella. We want everybody here to be healthy and happy! We will of course make exceptions for dogs with allergies to vaccines or compromised immune systems, as long as a recent adequate titer is submitted. Many local vets give titer tests at your request.
Nail Length
Running and playing with long nails can be painful and harmful to your dog’s feet. For their sake, please keep your dog's nails trimmed. We offer nail trims for cooperative dogs, or you can trim them yourself. You can find more information about nail trimming in Dogs Naturally Magazine.
Flea/Tick Control
We encourage the use of Wondercide because it is non-toxic and very effective. The group environment will be more fun and comfortable for everyone if all guests are free of pests. Please keep up the preventatives while at Metro Animals.
Step 3: Book your dog's Orientation day!

Together, we will decide which day and which location would be best for your dog, based on your needs and our availability.  We require early morning drop off on the first day, by 9 a.m.

Step 4: First Day!

Your dog will be slowly introduced to the pack over the course of a few hours. We will give feedback about their behavior when you pick up at the end of the day.  If we are lucky, we’ll get a good photo for our Facebook page!

Step 5: Regular Attendance! Click for details.
We are a daycare for dogs first and foremost, so regular attendance is required to keep your dog familiar with the pack and our handlers.
Daycare dogs are always on "probation" and must continue to behave well as part of a pack in order to be allowed to stay in daycare or to board.
We recommend a minimum of at least once a week attendance.

A full day of daycare is included along with a behavior assessment.
New Orientations are scheduled on Monday through Thursday with morning drop-off. Only 3 new orientations per day are scheduled at each location.
